====== PiGuard ====== The PiGuard box is a plug and play censorship circumvention tool. Once turned on and connected to the Internet, the PiGuard box creates a WiFi network allowing connected users to use an encrypted and uncensored connection. PiGuard can be distributed in several flavors: - as a USB flash drive that will plug into a computer to turn it into a PiGuard - as a box powered by a regular Raspberry Pi card like the PiGuard you have already distributed - in addition, we will have the possibility to add a 4G USB modem and a battery to the PiGuard using a Raspberry Pi card device in order to make the PiGuard completely autonomous. ===== Deployment process ===== Before any deployment, a discussion with the partner is necessary to - target its needs and determine which type of PiGuard will be most suitable - assess the partner's technical capabilities and determine whether the PiGuard will be monitored by N2H, by the partner itself or by an N2H relay in the field - assess the possibility of bringing equipment to the partner's premises. These preliminary discussions will enable us to determine : - the type of piguard to deploy - the type of equipment to be collected - how the equipment will be transported - the number of days of assistance required ===== RRF ===== In a context of rapid deployment and to accelerate and facilitate the installation of PiGuard boxes, a specific methodology will be used: * Delivery of pre-configured boxes to the partner * The box will be administered remotely by N2H * An additional SD card will be delivered as backup * The partner will also be trained to reinstall the system on an SD card in the event of a reset problem.
