Install and configuer OpenVPN on Windows

Install the programme, keeping the default options

During the installation phase, agree to the installation of the additional programme

Copy the config.ovpn file in the C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenVPN\config folder (for Windows 7 and above) or in the C:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config folder (without the x86) for Windows XP or Vista

During installation, a shortcut to the “OpenVPN Gui” is created on the desktop

Launch the “OpenVPN Gui” programme as an administrator (by right-clicking and selecting “Execute as administrator” in the context menu

An icon appears in the task bar (on the bottom right)

Right-click on the icon and select “connect”

Enter your username and password when requested

The message “connected” appears. The VPN is installed and connected.
